The Milwaukee iaedp Chapter aims to promote a high level of professionalism among practitioners who treat individuals with eating disorders by promoting ethical and professional standers.
OUR STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The Milwaukee iaedp Chapter provides educations, trainings, and certifications to increase awareness of eating disorder treatment and to enhance the skill of treating professionals.
WHO ARE WE, AND WHO ARE WE FOR?
The Milwaukee chapter of the International Association of Eating
Disorder Professionals (iaedp) was launched to provide
resources and support for those affected by eating related and
co-occurring disorders. Our goal is to promote awareness and
reduce stigma for eating and related disorder treatment within
the larger mental health community and the general public.
We welcome experienced providers and those who are
interested in learning more about eating disorders to join our
chapter, attend our events, and get involved!
WHAT WE DO
Our membership and events focus on increasing patient and practitioner access to effective treatment through:
-Educating mental health professionals about treatment for eating and related disorders
-Providing a forum for professional collaboration and networking
-Supporting research into the causes of and treatment for eating and related disorders
-Providing eating disorder recovery resources, education, and training for the greater Southeastern Wisconsin community
